Saturday 19th September – NYSD Division 2
Newton Aycliffe 1st XI v Barnard Castle 2nd XI – weather was warm and sunny. Aycliffe won the toss and chose to bat first.

Aycliffe finished their season with a four wicket defeat at home to Barnard Castle 2nd team. Aycliffe first team’s playing record for the season was played 26, won 14, lost 10, drawn one and one game abandoned due to rain. Total points 376 and a creditable 5th place in the NYSD 2nd division table.

Thornaby 2nd XI v Newton Aycliffe 2nd XI – weather was warm and sunny. Thornaby won the toss and decided to bat first.

The second team finished their season match with an excellent double over Thornaby when they won by seven wickets. They beat last years points total by 23 to finish with 280 points from their 26 games after recording 9 wins, 13 defeats, two drawn games and two games abandoned because of the weather to finish in a respectable 9th place out of 14 in the NYSD 3rd division.
