Saturday 10th September – NYSD Division 2
Newton Aycliffe 1st XI v Yarm 1st XI – weather was dry and sunny. Yarm won the toss and chose to bat first.
Yarm 1st XI 176 all out after 49.4 overs

The first team played their final game of the season and in a tense finish, they came out on top by just three wickets. Sam Telford (sponsored by Mr & Mrs Telford) secured his seventh man of the match award of the year after smashing his eighth half century of the season. Telford top scored with an excellent 55 from 60 balls faced and hit eight boundaries and two sixes in his innings.
Aycliffe’s 1st XI finished their season with a playing record of played 24, won 9, lost 9 and drew 6 and finished in 5th place in the table with 313 points.
