Hartlepool 2nd XI v Newton Aycliffe 1st XI – weather was windy and sunny. Aycliffe won the toss and asked Hartlepool to bat first.

Newton Aycliffe 1st XI smashed their club record with the highest score to win a match batting second when they reached 254 for 4 to win by six wickets away at Hartlepool 2nd XI. Opening batsman Tom Young was the man of the match with a breath taking innings of 94, including 17 boundaries and one six from only 87 balls faced. Aycliffe now have 230 points from 16 games played and remain in 6th place in the NYSD 2nd division table.

Newton Aycliffe 2nd XI v Northallerton 2nd XI – weather was windy and sunny. Aycliffe won the toss and asked Northallerton to bat first.
Northallerton 2nd XI – 111 all out after 49.4 overs
Adam Gittins 3 for 18, Patrick Howe 3 for 36, Jack Slatcher 2 for 8 and Danny Weldon 2 for 32
Newton Aycliffe 2nd XI – 112 for 2 after 28.2 overs
Ben Nicholson 26 not out, Patrick Howe 24, Adam Gittins 22 and Joe Haines 17 not out
Newton Aycliffe 2nd team completed the double over Northallerton 2nd XI after a comfortable eight wicket victory. Talented all rounder Patrick Howe (sponsored by Aycliffe NUFC Supporters Bus) was again nominated for the man of the match after taking 3 wickets and scoring 24 runs. Aycliffe now have 161 points, which is 2 more than at the same stage last season and sit nicely in mid table of the NYSD 3rd division.
