Newton Aycliffe 1st XI v Sedgefield 2nd XI – weather was cool and cloudy. Sedgefield won the toss and asked Aycliffe to bat first.

Aycliffe had a comfortable home victory against near neighbours Sedgefield by 112 runs. A welcome return to form for Sam Telford (sponsored by Yvonne and Bob Wood), who smashed a seasonal best 68, including nine boundaries, earned him the man of the match award. This fourth consecutive win for Aycliffe now gives them 353 points and pushes them up to fifth place in the 2nd division table with just two games to play.

Bedale 1st XI v Newton Aycliffe 2nd XI – weather was cool and cloudy. Bedale won the toss and chose to bat first.

Aycliffe were disappointed to lose by just 40 runs away to 3rd in the table Bedale. Acting captain Jack Slatcher (sponsored by Mr & Mrs Greaves) earned the man of the match award for an excellent all round display with both bat and ball. Aycliffe now have 252 points and remain in 9th place in the NYSD 3rd division table with just two games left to play.
