Year 11 students at Greenfield Community College may be leaving the school site but remain a big part of the Greenfield community.
During challenging times the year group can be congratulated on their resilience and commitment throughout their journey at Greenfield, excelling in both study at home and on site, says the school.
The class of 2021 were able to enjoy their parting celebrations and were invited to share a day of fun activities followed by the now infamous leavers video and ice cream treats.
“It was a day of emotion, with laughter and tears remembering their time at Greenfield and the friends they have made along the way,” said the school.
The cohort will return to share their results and enjoy further celebrations and will be leaving with skills that will prepare them as confident, self-led learners as they take their next steps.
A further comprehensive bridging package of activities and lessons are in place until the end of term to support students to be successful as they continue their journey.
“I would like to wish all of our Year 11 leavers all the best for the future,” said year 11 house leader Mrs Butterworth.
“We are also looking forward to celebrating at our school Prom on the July 5.”
