Newton Aycliffe Cricket Club have paid their own tribute to the NHS staff and keyworkers who have worked tirelessly to safeguard the public throughout the Coronavirus pandemic.
With the Sports Club due to open on July 4, the Cricket Club have had signage mounted on the scorebox expressing their gratitude.
Club chairman Ian Palmer said: “We had an opportunity arise when the previous scorebox sponsor decided not to renew and I can think of nothing better to fill the space left.
“It cannot be underestimated the work that all keyworkers have carried out over the course of the pandemic, including some who have connections to our Club, and we felt that it was only right to recognise this.”
Newton Aycliffe Cricket Club would like to thank Vanila Design and Print Services, one of the club’s sponsors, who designed the sign and also covered production and installation costs.
