We’re sticking with the favourites as we cannot see this seven-year-old beaten under the ride of Ruby Walsh, who’s had a pretty tame festival to date.
The only blip on this Willie Mullins trained gelding’s card in the past 18 months was a third at Punchestown over a year ago, but he has followed that up with four straight victories, three of which have came while carrying more weight than he will in this race.
Threats may come from Rocky Creek or Lovcen, but anyone looking to earn a few quid to place on the Gold Cup, is encouraged to stick with Ruby, though we do oppose crowd favourite Kauto Star in the showcase race of the day.
It’s Long Run all the way for Aycliffe Today in that one!
