Youngsters in the region will be able to visit Old Trafford as part of an exciting Easter soccer course.
The Martin Gray Football Academy (MGFA) is holding the four-day course during the Easter break.
Children will enjoy football sessions with qualified and CRB-checked coaches between 10am and 3pm, Monday-Wednesday April 2-4.
They’ll then go to Manchester for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Theatre of Dreams on the Thursday (April 5) to complete the four-day course.
“It’s something we’ve never done before so we’re confident it’ll be really popular,” said former Sunderland and Darlington midfielder Gray.
“Youngsters will get to see areas of the ground that you’d never normally see – such as the changing rooms, trophy cabinets, media suite and directors’ box – with a full stadium and museum tour.
“Before that the courses are a great way for children to enjoy their school holiday in a safe and fun environment.
“The emphasis of the courses is on fun, so regardless of ability the children are encouraged to enjoy them and hopefully make new friends.
“Or the courses might simply offer a solution for busy parents looking for baby-sitters during the half-term holiday!”
Gray, who holds the Pro Licence coaching diploma, set up MGFA in summer 2010, and with members of the coaching staff all fully CRB-checked and with the relevant coaching badges, it now delivers the most comprehensive soccer coaching courses in the area.
The four-day course, which costs £70 per child, is being held at Greenfield Community College in Newton Aycliffe from Monday April 2 to Thursday April 5 inclusive (10am-3pm).
The same course is also being held at Sedgefield Community College from Tuesday-Friday April 10-13 inclusive (10am-3pm).
