Local businesses will get to learn more about the latest multi-million pound development on Aycliffe Business Park at a conference next week.
Aycliffe Business Park Community is hosting its next News and Networking meeting at The Work Place on Friday, March 18 (from 8.15am).
Delegates at the event will hear from Adrian Goodall of Rokeby Developments, the development manager for Merchant Anglo, which has developed the £90m Merchant Park industrial scheme on Aycliffe Business Park, which includes Hitachi Rail’s huge facility.
Adrian will deliver a presentation on the firm’s latest development, Station Place, which is now close to completion.
The £4.8m, 55,000 sq ft development will include 10 industrial units from 5,000 to 10,000 sq ft supporting new and expanding businesses in Newton Aycliffe and will create 130 jobs.
The scheme will further expand Aycliffe Business Park, already the largest business park in the North-East.
Guests at the Aycliffe conference next week will also hear from representatives from Durham County Council about its ‘Big Econ-versation’ – a county-wide economic strategy running until April 22.
The strategy will shape the county’s economic growth over the next 10 years.
Businesses, large and small, in all sectors and across the county are being invited to take part in a conversation which will inform the strategy and give you a say on what is important to your business.
And during a packed news and networking event, guests will also hear from local firm Patrick Lonergan Recruitment.
Registration for the event is free to all Aycliffe businesses (£10 to others) and includes breakfast, while there’ll be plenty of networking opportunities.
