Newton Aycliffe woke up to temperatures of -6° Celsius this morning as winter bit.
It’s a cold, crisp morning, with a beautiful low sunshine making for a picturesque town.
Although the weather is causing a few problems on major routes in the North-East, we’ve been in touch with our local police and fire service and, thankfully, there are no incidents to report in Aycliffe this morning.
The temperature isn’t expected to get above freezing today, but will pick up to around 1° on Saturday and up to 5° on Sunday.
We’ve been out and about this morning to see what our town looks like today – see our pictures below.
