A Bishop Auckland woman has been charged with shoplifting by police after an incident in Aycliffe shopping centre.
Suzanne Matthews, 29, was arrested and charged after allegedly stealing from the Boyes store in the town.
“Newton Aycliffe Police continue to have a strong relationship with the shops in our town centre and shoplifters will not be allowed to target our towns shops,” said a police statement.
