Greenfield Arts is collaborating with Durham County Council to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Newton Aycliffe.
Residents are invited to help renowned singer and songwriter Martin Longstaff (The Lake Poets) write a song to celebrate the big milestone for the town.
“We are excited to be part of such a creative initiative and all are welcome,” said Greenfield.
“We are looking for individuals or groups and choirs that would like to be a part of the celebrations and work with a professional singer/songwriter.”
The workshops will take place on Tuesday March 15 and 22, 5.30-7pm. Residents are welcome to attend both dates. There will also be a final recording session which will take place in April and refreshments will be provided.
