Newton Aycliffe won their third game in a row with a 1-0 win at home to Jarrow Roofing at the weekend.
And they hope to make it four when they take on Guisborough Town at the Aux Audio Stadium tomorrow night (Tuesday 4th November, 7.45pm).
Stuart Banks’ controversial 32nd-minute penalty was enough for Aycliffe to bag all three points against seventh-placed Jarrow Roofing on Saturday as Peter Dixon’s side moved up to 15th in the Northern League first division.
It followed a 2-1 triumph at West Allotment Celtic last week and Dixon’s first victory, a 4-1 rout at Morpeth Town – a double-win which followed a draw with Sunderland RCA.
It means Aycliffe’s four-match unbeaten run has seen them climb eight points away from the bottom three.
The Newtonians hope to add to that on Tuesday night when eighth-placed Guisborough come to Moore Lane on the back of a 3-1 FA Vase win over Billingham Synthonia on Saturday.
