Newton Aycliffe suffered a disappointing 4-1 defeat at home to Hebburn Town on Wednesday night.
On the back of their Northern League opening day loss at Marske United on Saturday, the Newtonians were stuffed by the South Tyneside club at Moore Lane Park.
The setback marks a worrying start to the 2012-13 season for Aycliffe, who crashed out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle again last week.
A full match report will follow here soon.
Elsewhere in Division One tonight, Spennymoor won 6-0 at Guisborough, while Shildon won 2-0 at home to Newcastle Benfield, with ex-Newtonian Ben Wood scoring one of the goals.
Elliot Gardner, another former Aycliffe favourite, was also on the scoresheet tonight as his West Auckland side won 4-1 at home to Billingham Town.
