On the same day two members took part in the Leeds Running Festival 10k with David Stothard (59:42) and Ian Stothard (1:11:26) both representing the club.
On Saturday, 25 members started their weekend with a parkrun, taking in the Edinburgh, Sedgefield, Riverside, Darlington South Park, Hackworth, Hartleppol, Millfield, Leazes Hamsterley Forest, Wynyard Woodland, Denton Dene and Epworth Equestrian events.

A special mention this week for Melanie Rowland who was involved in a serious accident six years ago which has seen her have to learn to swim and run again.
Melanie took part in the English Aquathlon championships which saw competitors swim 750 metres in the sea, followed by a 5k run.
Melanie showed all of her determination to finish second in her age group, an amazing achievement.
Everyone at the club is proud of Mel’s achievements and she is an inspiration to us all and showing that having that determination, not giving up and showing your worth, you can achieve amazing things.
Mel is still on a journey back to full fitness and we all know she will continue to do amazing things. With that same attitude that is something we can all do.
If you are feeling inspired and are interested in joining the club or want to take your running to the next level, you can turn up for one of our sessions.
