This week’s activities began with the local parkruns in which several of our members achieved PB’s.
At Shildon Parkrun, Craig Robinson achieved a PB of 31.25. At Sedgefield, Sue Milburn ran the course in a PB of 23.31.
Over at Darlington, husband-and-wife both achieved PB’s with Ian Baronowski in a time of £25.31 and Sam Baronowski in 33.14.
The following day, Sunday August 12, was the day of the annual 10k in Darlington. This as a well organised race and is particularly popular with Aycliffe Running Club.
The day started with rain but this cleared and it remained quite humid for the race. That said there were many PB’s achieved in this race with the Results as follows: –
First home for the club was Floyd Jones in 38.13 (2nd Male 55-59) followed by Paul Dalton in 39.00 (although Paul was running for his first club Darlington Quakers), Martyn Knox in 42.49, Richard Holland in 43.17, Christine Mudd 43.40 (3rd female 40-44), Dave Blewitt 44.42, Luke Wilson 44.53, Trevor Needham 46.32, Angela Sutheran 48.10, Rob Nicholson 49.05) Trish Kay 49.29 (2nd female 55-59), Sandra Collins 51.15, Ian Baronowski 52.40, Julie Nisbet 55.15, Paul Stretton 54.03, Heather Fenwick 54.30, Lindsey Brown 54.43, Gemma Holland 56.24, Denise Evans 57.45, Richard Tonge 58.58, Susan Clark 1.03.29, jane Quigley 1.03.45, Bev Phillipp0 1.04.13, Eve Doe 1.09.30 and Sam Baronowski 1.11.53.
