A team of Aycliffe Legends will go head-to-head with an ‘Aycliffe All Stars XI’ as part of an action-packed family fun day this weekend.
The event, which has been organised by Daryll Hall, will take place at Aycliffe Sports Club this Sunday (July 16), from 12noon until 9pm.
The day will start with the star-studded football match on Aycliffe’s pitch at Moore Lane Park.
The two sides will be managed by Aycliffe legends Dave Hall and Dez Wood – and captained by their sons, Daryll and Mark.
Other entertainment will include a bouncy castle, raffles, an auction, a comedian and a singer, while hot and cold food will be available.
The event is to raise money for two local hospices, in memory of Dawn Avery, as well as Paul McGeary’s Bloodwise fundraising campaign.
Entry to the family fun day is £5, while Under-12s go free, and they’re on sale on the day or in advance from Aycliffe Sports Club.
