A Newton Aycliffe-based housebuilder say it’s pushing ahead with an ambitious expansion strategy despite the global coronavirus pandemic.
Homes by Carlton, based on Aycliffe Business Park, reckons they’re maximising the spike in housing demand by bringing three new housing developments on stream in County Durham and the Tees Valley.
This is on the back of rising house prices across the country, with the North-East and Yorkshire showing some of the largest growth rates in the country.
Craig Peterson, the co-founder of Growth Capital Ventures and Homes by Carlton, said: “We’re delighted to be rolling out our plans in the North East.
“The lockdowns and necessary social distancing on site have caused some delays but this has been offset by the strong demand we’re seeing.”
Middleton Waters (pictured), in the village of Middleton St George, is the largest of the current development by Homes by Carlton.
It will be completed over four phases over several years.
Within weeks of the first release, 14 three and four-bedroom properties were reserved off-plan.
Craig Peterson added: “We are delighted with the interest Middleton Waters has generated to date and the outstanding support of our sales and marketing team.”
Other developments underway include Thorpe Paddocks in Thorpe Thewles, between Yarm and Stockton on Tees; and The Langtons in Redmarshall.
Homes by Carlton has another 20 potential sites across the North-East and Yorkshire and expects to deliver more than 1,000 new homes in the coming years.
