Newton Aycliffe’s Northern League side are hoping to get their season back up and running after their last two games fell foul of the weather.
Aycliffe’s game at North Shields on Wednesday was postponed, as was their scheduled trip to Ashington last weekend.
Now the Newtonians are hoping their home fixture with 11th-placed Seaham Red Star at Moore Lane Park on Saturday will get the go-ahead.
Aycliffe’s faltering campaign has seen them slide down the Ebac Northern League first division to 18th in the table.
The Blues have 19 league games remaining to secure their top-flight status.
Their scheduled home game with Seaham this weekend is followed by a trip to sixth-placed West Auckland on Saturday December 23. They currently have no fixture on Boxing Day.
