Saturday 2nd June – NYSD Division 2
Marske 2nd XI v Newton Aycliffe 1st XI – weather was cloudy and cool. Marske won the toss and chose to bowl first.

Jack Slatcher 45 not out, Darryn Bancroft 36 and Patrick Howe 24 not out
Aycliffe first team had a frustrating day away at Marske as the weather forced the game to be abandoned after tea and recorded as a draw. Jack Slatcher (sponsored by Dean & Tina Greaves) was given the man of the match award for a gutsy unbeaten 45 from 98 balls faced and his innings included four boundaries.

Billingham Synthonia 2nd XI v Newton Aycliffe 2nd XI – weather was cloudy and cool. Synthonia won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Newton Aycliffe 2nd XI 63 all out after 28.1 overs

Billingham Synthonia 2nd XI 66 for 3 after 11 overs
Dylan Tribley 1 for 4, George Slatcher 1 for 20 and Neil Bancroft 1 for 29.
Aycliffe’s young second team were comfortably defeated away at a very strong Billingham Synthonia 2nd XI by seven wickets. 18 year old Dan Bowmer was given the man of the match award for top scoring with 23 runs in the Aycliffe innings.
