Newton Aycliffe firm Ebac has signed a new five-year sponsorship deal with the Northern League.
The Aycliffe-based dehumidifier manufacturer has agreed a whopping £200,000 contract, which was announced by league chairman Mike Amos at the annual meeting, at Northallerton Town, on Saturday.
Newton Aycliffe currently play in the Ebac Northern League first division.
“It’s a huge fillip for us, a wonderful vote of confidence from one of the best known and most respected companies in the region,” said Amos.
Ebac chairman John Elliott (pictured), who is also West Auckland’s president, said he was “proud and delighted” to have become the league’s principal sponsor.
“I was born and raised in west Durham and know how much Northern League football means to the communities it serves,” he said.
“It’s a vital part of North-East culture and the standard of football is higher than it’s been for a long time.
“We want the Northern League to be a place where the whole family can enjoy its football.”
