Newton Aycliffe firm Roman has introduced three new apprenticeships into different departments within the company.
The shower designer and manufacturer has welcomed three new apprentices to add to the many they already have.
Jack Mitchell, from Aycliffe, is in customer relations, Ciaran Kelly, also from Aycliffe, in joinery and Karl Teasdale, from Bishop, in research and development – they’re all aged 17.
The firm’s managing director David Osborne, pictured (above) with the apprentices, said: “Apprentices are fundamental to our future skill requirements.
“A key advantage of recruiting an apprentice is their loyalty and commitment to the company.
“We feel very strongly about having apprenticeships as they equip our workforce with the skills needed for the future, allowing our business to grow and develop.
“We also want to provide young people with the opportunity to start their career, earn a wage, whilst also gaining qualifications.”
