Newton Aycliffe-based software innovator Excelpoint has appointed two additional members of staff to be based at its head office on Aycliffe Business Park.
Curtis Brown has joined the marketing team as marketing executive. He has spent his career in the manufacturing sector working for Nifco and Hitachi in manufacturing leadership roles.
“I am excited to be joining such a fast-growing business, and one positioned within the digital sector,” said Curtis.
“With a strong manufacturing process background and experience within the social media arena, I am looking forward to applying my skills to support the marketing strategy moving forward and to engage and support customers throughout their digital transformation journey.”
James Smith has also joined Excelpoint as business consultant, responsible for the development of the Excelpoint platform into customer-specific automated business systems.
James recently completed a three-year degree in computer game design at Teesside University, followed by a post-graduate degree in game development. He went on to lecture part-time at the University.
James added: “It is certainly an exciting time for businesses within the digital sector.
“I am looking forward to working with globally recognised and regional brands to support them to achieve automation across their business processes.”
