Over the summer term Woodham Academy engineering students have been investigating local engineering and manufacturing companies within the local area.
Students have been investigating the products they manufacture and the industrial processes they employ within their production lines.
Students have researched and visited both Gestamp and Husquvana manufacturing plants within Newton Aycliffe to see how they manufacture the products they have engineered.
Woodham Academy head teacher Christine Forsyth said: “This is an excellent opportunity for young people to find out more about the career options available to them within Aycliffe Business Park.
“We would like to thank both Gestamp and Husquvana for hosting these visits.”
