Newton Aycliffe 1st XI v Blackhall 1st XI – weather was mild and Breezy. Blackhall won the toss and chose to bowl first.

Blackhall 1st XI 103 all out after 39.5 overs

Newton Aycliffe’s first team won a low scoring game by 36 runs at home to relegation threatened Blackhall 1st XI in division two of the NYSD.
Aycliffe’s left arm spin bowler Luke Telford (pictured above, sponsored by Tina and Dean Greaves) put in an excellent performance with the ball, finishing a lengthy 12.5 over spell with 5 for 19, which were his best bowling figures this season.
Aycliffe picked up the maximum 25 points from their victory against Blackhall, which takes their points total to 217 from 19 games played and they move up to sixth place in the NYSD 2nd division table with only three games left to play.
