The first team got their first win of the season with a comfortable six wicket victory at home to Northallerton.
Luke Telford (pictured above, sponsored by Dean and Tina Greaves) was the star of the show with an excellent all round performance. In the first innings Telford bowled well finishing with 2 for 27 from his 11 overs, he then opened the Aycliffe innings and top scored with a superb 60 from 62 balls faced, hitting 11 boundaries.
Aycliffe’s young 17-year-old opening bowler Leo Mercy also deserves credit, finishing with career best bowling figures of 4 for 33 when the visitors batted.
