A Newton Aycliffe care home worker took part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge with five friends to raise money for the Residents Comfort Fund.
Vicky Hodgson, home administrator at HC-One’s St Clare’s Court, on Central Avenue in Aycliffe, joined a group to take on the Three Peaks journey, covering 24 miles and a total ascent of 1,585 metres covering Whernside, Pen-y-Ghent and Ingesborough.
Vicky completed the challenge in 11 hours and 30 minutes, and the group raised a total of £250 which was all donated to the Resident’s Comfort Fund at St Clare’s Court.
Home manager Michelle Jones said: “Everyone at St Clare’s Court is very proud of Vicky and her friends for completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
“Our residents are very grateful for their hard work to raise money for the home’s Comfort Fund.”
