NEWTON AYCLIFFE vs BISHOP AUCKLAND
The AuxAudio.co.uk Stadium at Moore Lane Park. 1pm kick off.
By Paul McGeary
Newton Aycliffe welcome Bishop Auckland to the Aux Audio Stadium at Moore Lane Park for a Bank Holiday derby clash which sees the clubs sharing contrasting fortunes.
While Aycliffe languish in the bottom-six following just one win in their opening four games, the Two-Blues lie third in the table, with a game in hand, following a 100% start to their league campaign.
Adrian Webster leads his side against his former club, where he spent 18 months before his return to the Newtonians earlier this summer. Chris Storey faces his former club, but Dan Mitton, John Close and Liam Clough all remain unavailable.
Craig Mickle should return to the squad after missing out against Consett on Saturday, as should Greg Upton, Scott Oldfield and new signing Zak Boagey, the former Hartlepool United forward who has signed from Whitby Town.
Martin Young is unavailable, while winger Denver Morris has ended a disappointing stay with the club by signing for division one rivals North Shields.
Lining up in the opponents side should be former skipper Sean Tarling and goalkeeper Scott Pocklington, two fans favourites at Moore Lane having played almost 300 games for the club between them.
