Newton Aycliffe’s football team are looking to get their up-and-down season back on track at home to Ryhope this weekend.
Peter Dixon’s side lost 3-1 at home to Dunston on Tuesday night – their sixth straight league defeat.
The Newtonians took the lead against Dunston when John Campbell scored in the first minute, but the Gatshead side fought back with three to compound Aycliffe’s miserable run.
It has spoiled what had been a roaring start to the 2016-17 season which saw them peak at third in the Ebac Northern League first division.
The Blues hope to turn it around at home to Ryhope on Saturday – 3pm kick-off at Moore Lane Park.
