Visitors to Hardwick Park, Sedgefield, are invited to bring pencils, pens and pads and have a go at painting in an organised art walk on Saturday (June 2).
Professional artist Sophy Nixon will be on hand to give top tips for the leisurely two-mile stroll. Stopping off at regular points you will be able to sit down and draw what you see.
Countryside development officer Maria Murphy said: “It should be a lot of fun. Everyone from stickmen level to budding Picassos are welcome to come along and have a go.
“It’s a great opportunity to have a day out in our beautiful park and to do something just a little different. It’s not everyday you get the chance to work alongside a professional artist.”
People are asked to bring along a sketch pad, pens and pencils, snacks and a folding chair to help you sit while you sketch.
Meet at the Hardwick Park Visitor Centre at 10am. No need to pre-book. Costs £4 per person or £10 for a family ticket
