Two men have been arrested following a burglary in Newton Aycliffe recently.
In his regular blog on Aycliffe Today, Neighbourhood Police Team Sergeant Mark Edwards has revealed the two men were arrested in connection with the burglary, which happened in the Boews Road area of the town.
A 35-year-old male and a 45-year-old male have both since been released pending further enquiries.
Sgt Edwards said: “The NPT have been busy these past few days assisting our colleagues in the Serious Crime Team investigating a burglary that occurred in the Bowes Road area in early August.
“Some invaluable information came to light which gave my team some meat to chew on and as a result two arrests have been made of persons suspected to be responsible for that crime.
“A 35-year-old male and a 45-year-old male have both been released on bail pending further enquiries.
“I can’t go into specific details of the crime but my colleagues in Serious Crime are working hard to resolve this investigation.”
