The Alzheimer’s Society will be holding an informal information and drop-in session next week.
The three-hour information event will be held in the Community Pod (pictured) at the Pioneering Care Centre, Cobblers Hall, on Wednesday 10th August, between 10am and 1pm.
Dementia advisor Hannah Johnson said: “Dementia can happen to anyone and there’s currently no cure. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and the number is set to rise to 1 million by 2021.
“At the Alzheimer’s Society, we believe passionately that life doesn’t end when dementia begins. We are here for anyone affected by dementia, and we do everything we can to keep people with dementia connected to their lives and the people who matter most.”
If you have any questions or concerns regarding Alzheimer’s Disease, dementia or general memory loss come along and talk to Hannah who will be happy to supply you with information, leaflets and tell you where you can find further support such as Dementia Cafes in the local area.
The Community Pod in the Mall at PCP is available for local charities, organisations, groups or businesses to promote their services.
