Woodham Academy Year 11 students recorded 100% pass rates in GCSE Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Many students achieved top grades in all three sciences, putting them in an excellent position to continue to study sciences at A Level.
Head of Science, Rebecca Flynn, says, “The good news is that last year’s year 10 students did brilliantly in their science modules and are on track to repeat this success next year.”
Woodham Academy welcomes two new science teachers this year. Miss Arrowsmith and Miss Taylor are both well-qualified chemists and join a team of outstanding subject specialists.
This year, the department, together with mathematics and technology will be running an after-school STEM (Science, technology, engineering and mathematics) club to provide even more opportunities in these important areas.
Headteacher Christine Forsyth said: “These results, together with our best-ever results in mathematics and technology give our students a real advantage. I’m proud of our students’ achievement.”
